Second Generation Filter

The second generation ACI point-of-use water filters will provide the same quality of water as the standard filter but at a lower cost. The size of the filter body is half that of the standard filter but the bio-layer is eliminated and the amount of ACX is increased, yielding an improved ability to reduce the incoming water fecal contamination more quickly. Testing to determine the optimum amount of ACX (the brass alloy) is underway in our lab. Each basic unit will provide 40 liters per day of clean drinking water that meets or exceeds W.H.O standards, again at an approximate cost of $0.001 per liter.
