Why ‘Franchise?’
We ‘Franchise’ the AC Program because it is our goal to ensure that as many people as possible are reached with clean water. A ‘Franchise’ denotes local ownership and local flexibility within a broader community or network. Franchises are independent of Aqua Clara.
AC serves AC Franchisees by training them in Purifier manufacture and maintenance and in business operation. We do all of this without requiring a buy-in or any royalty fee for the use of our patent-pending technology. Our Franchise Program is not a means to make money – as we are a non-profit – but to scale this solution in the wisest way possible.
Each AC Franchisee, while being independent and being allowed significant program flexibility, needs to meet certain requirements on manufacturing standards, testing and reporting – all to ensure effective results. Additionally, each Franchisee is a member of the larger AC Community, and information is shared up through Aqua Clara staff and then back down to individual Franchises. This can include lessons learned, recommendations, new technologies developed, etc.
What’s Included?
The Aqua Clara Franchise Package includes:
- On-site instruction of AC Water Purifier manufacture
- The right to produce and sell our patent-pending technology at a profit, if desired
- Business planning and launch collaboration
- Our supply of written, illustrated and film resources – in English and translated into various local languages (as needed)
- The ACWP construction and maintenance manuals
- AC business planning and management materials
- Basic accounting and business tracking materials
- Marketing and awareness-raising materials
- Continued Technology Center support
- The AC Engineering Team stands by to answer any technical questions that may arise
- The AC Engineering Team will work to develop new and appropriate solutions to specific local water issues
- AC will aid in the facilitation of Purifier output testing to ensure quality
- On-going business support
- Business tracking assistance
- Access to AC personnel for troubleshooting and/or expansionary planning
- The future offer of additional related products, including health & hygiene products, for sale into the local market
This package is provided free of charge to individuals and organizations who exhibit the willingness to “do well by doing good” – to run (and expand) a business that profits in a socially-conscious fashion, by answering a legitimate and urgent community need.
How is a Franchise launched?
Through us and through others. Aqua Clara travels within its counties of focus to launch and support Franchises. These contacts are usually forged through an intermediary – and we only go where asked. Likewise, AC also trains other individuals and organizations in how to transfer the AC program to their contacts. Some Franchises are thus launched directly by AC, while other sites are launched by outside organizations and individuals trained in AC Programming. To learn more about our method, click here.
