What is Kids 2 Kids?
Kids 2 Kids is what we call our connection between classrooms in the USA and the majority world. Learning and sharing are facilitated in a format that is simple for teachers to implement. There are lesson plans, suggestions for letter writing and ‘pen-pal’ scenarios and event planning and fundraising suggestions, etc.
The end goal is increased awareness in children about to the plight of others – of children their own age struggling with things that they take for granted. It is to empower children in the US to act on their new awareness – to make a small contribution through small activities and fundraisers. It is to partner classrooms in the USA with those in the majority world – building partnerships, and inspiring a brighter future for all.
