This past November, ACI was asked to present at the Engineering Conference of Water Sanitation of Central America. For two days, our Program Field Director of Latin America, Jay VandenBrink, and our on-ground Program Director of Nicaragua, Mario Benavides, stood at a poster presentation of ACI’s in-country research. Also, for this conference Mario was asked to present in front of the audience on what ACI has already done and what we are capable of doing in Nicaragua. Also, at the end of the conference ACI was one of two organizations to present again because of the interest of our heavy-metal reduction units. Many connections were made and we look forward to the opportunity to help more of the people of rural Nicaragua.
